Lucky Okon Isaiah
Lucky Isaiah’s works explore the everyday scenes encountered in local commercial districts of major communities in the South Western and Northern regions of Nigeria. Eight years after graduating from art school, his artistic archive on this subject has evolved into interesting dimensions - moving from social commentary to recounting memorable moments associated with cultural festivity and subtle narratives. His works depict daily human transactions in religious spaces, trade centres, playgrounds and capturing the hustle and bustle of major city centres around Nigeria.
Lucky Isaiah studied painting at Auchi Polytechnic from 2004 – 2008. He has participated in several group exhibitions and carried out a number of important projects in Lagos, where he resides and works from his studio.
